They had been rumoured to sing with Little Mix on last year's final but eventually performed alongside 2015 winner Louisa Johnson instead.

Speaking to the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper about their record deal, 5 After Midnight said: “It’s amazing to know we will get to work with a lot of the same team who made One Direction such big stars.”

They added: “Little Mix would be a dream collaboration.

“It would be really cool to get a girl group and boyband together. Especially when we both dance. We could do a great performance.”

It was announced earlier this year that Syco had signed 5 After Midnight ahead of the X Factor live tour starting in February.

The vibrant three-piece - Kieran Alleyne (21), Jordan Lee (21) and Nathan Lewis (24) - were finalists on The X Factor last year and were the leading group in the series.

The trio were mentored by Louis Walsh on the show and finished in third place in last month's final behind runner up Saara Aalto and winner Matt Terry.

Speaking about their record deal, Nathan said: “What an honour it is to be working with the best label in the business. This is a dream come true.”

Jordan added: “To say that we are part of a roster that includes artists such as One Direction and Little Mix is just incredible.”
