Gary Barlow ends up in a Christmas row with Mr Blobby this weekend.

The Take That star gets his revenge on the 90s favourite after being beaten to Christmas Number 1 in 1993 by Mr Blobby's single.

Mr Blobby's self-titled track stopped Take That's Babe from reaching the festive top spot 23 years ago now, and it seems Gary hasn't forgotten.

Appearing on Alan Carr's Christmas Day Chatty Man on Sunday, Gary is confronted by his chart rival and things get a little out of hand.

"Sadly Mark Owen can’t be here tonight but we are joined by the man who beat you to number one... It’s Mr Blobby!" announces Alan on the show.

Cue utter chaos as Mr Blobby goes on a bit of a rampage across the set, before ending up fighting with Gary who drags him off stage.

Alan quips: “Look what he has done. I have never seen that side of you Gary. My God.”

Gary laughs: "Nineteen years I have waited for that."

And his former bandmate Robbie Williams, who is also on the show, remarks: “I have still got it in for him. Did you get him good Gaz?”

Joining Gary and Robbie on the Chatty Man special are Gary's fellow Let It Shine judges Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp, X Factor winner Matt Terry, Olympic diver Tom Daley and Gogglebox stars Chris Steed and Stephen Webb.

There are also appearances from the cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, I'm A Celebrity queen Scarlett Moffatt plus music from Emeli Sandé who performs her hit single Hurts.

Alan Carr's Christmas Day Chatty Man special airs Christmas Day, Sunday December 25 at 10:30PM.
