Top Gear could be axed from the BBC after the current 'new' series comes to an end.

Now hosted by Chris Evans and Matt Leblanc, Top Gear is facing its third shake up according to the latest odds from bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Dubbed Flop Gear by fans the bookies have started taking bets on the future of the show, and it's now 1/4 this series is the last with Chris Evans at the helm and it's also odds-on the show faces the axe from the Beeb altogether at 1/2.

Matt LeBlanc got off to a better start with both bookies and viewers and the American actor finds himself fancied at 5/6 to make a second series.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Top Gear fans are fiercely loyal and the early feedback has forced us to slash the odds this series is the last we see aired by the BBC."
