Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing Routines and Songs – Week 1

Strictly Come Dancing is officially back, and the full list of dances and songs for Week One has just dropped.

All 15 celebrity couples will be stepping onto the dancefloor for the first time this Saturday 27 September at 6.55pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

While no one will be leaving in the first week, the judges will still be scoring the performances, and those scores will carry over to next weekend, when the public gets to vote for the first time.

Here’s the full list of what each couple is dancing to:

  • Karen Carney and Carlos Gu – Jive to “One Way Or Another” by Blondie
  • Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington – Cha Cha Cha to “Best of My Love” by Ella Eyre
  • Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe – Waltz to “Cry Me a River” by Michael Bublé
  • Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova – Samba to “Unbelievable” by EMF
  • Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola – Cha Cha Cha to “yes, and?” by Ariana Grande
  • Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley – Quickstep to “Chelsea Dagger” by The Fratellis
  • La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec – American Smooth to “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan
  • Ross King and Jowita Przystal – Cha Cha Cha to “California Gurls” by Katy Perry
  • Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell – Foxtrot to the “Neighbours Theme” by Barry Crocker
  • Lewis Cope and Katya Jones – Jive to “Get Ready” by The Temptations
  • George Clarke and Alexis Warr – American Smooth to “Stargazing” by Myles Smith
  • Thomas Skinner and Amy Dowden – Paso Doble to “Battle Without Honour or Humanity” by Hotei

This year’s line-up includes familiar faces from sport, film, TV and social media, paired with both returning pros and two brand-new dancers.

From the elegance of the Waltz to the energy of the Jive and the drama of the Paso Doble, Week One is promising a full night of standout routines and bold song choices.
