It’s official – The Traitors is set to kick off its fourth series right at the start of 2026.
The BBC has confirmed that Claudia Winkleman will welcome us back to the ultimate game of treachery and trust, with the new series arriving on New Year’s Day at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
The Traitors has become one of the most addictive reality TV experiences on British screens, blending psychological mind games and ruthless strategy in a Scottish castle setting.
In its upcoming run, 22 contestants from all around the UK will go head-to-head for a shot at £120,000 with even more plot twists, betrayals, and shocking banishments expected.
The opening double bill is locked in – episode one airs on Thursday 1 January at 8pm, followed by episode two on Friday 2 January at the same time.
Every episode will drop on iPlayer as soon as it has aired, making it easy to catch up or binge at your own pace.
Claudia continues to anchor the show, overseeing both the faithfuls and traitors as the suspense builds.
If you want to dive deeper into the action, the companion podcast The Traitors: Uncloaked is back and getting a prime spot on BBC Two straight after the launch episode.
Hosted by Ed Gamble, the podcast will move to BBC One for the rest of the run and features celeb guests and former contestants breaking down every twist and turn. Episodes will also be available on BBC Sounds and iPlayer for fans wanting all the extra insight.
