Taskmaster series 10 could air on BBC One after five years on Dave
Series 10 of Taskmaster could air on BBC One in a major shake up to the hit show.
Taskmaster has been airing on Dave since it first premiered in 2015.
But according to a report in Broadcast magazine, the rights to the show could change hands for its landmark tenth series.
It’s claimed that BBC One could takeover the format after discussions between programme makers and a number of other channels, including both ITV and Channel 4.
Taskmaster has proved a hit with viewers ever since it first premiered.
The comedy panel game show sees a group of famous comedians set a series of weird and challenging tasks.
Greg Davies takes up the role as the almighty Taskmaster in the show, which has picked up Emmy, BAFTA, RTS, and Broadcasting Press Guild award nominations – and won Best Entertainment Programme at Broadcast Awards 2018.
Faithful underling sidekick, Alex Horne – who created the format – accompanies the Taskmaster equipped with spreadsheets and stopwatches, eager to facilitate his master’s every whim and adjudicate his loose point system to determine a new winner.
Currently, details on Series 10 of Taskmaster have yet to be officially confirmed.
