Michael Le Vell is reportedly facing an 'uncertain future' on Coronation Street.

There's been claims of behind-the-scenes drama on set of the ITV soap.

The troubled actor has been accused of failing to show up to filming.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everybody on set has been talking about Michael’s future, and it’s very clear some think he’s on thin ice... but when he didn’t show up to work this week, a lot of people were furious."

Another insider claimed that some staff on the show, which Le Vell has been on for 35 years now, considered the star to be "rude".

"Michael has been described as rude by crew and there’s a feeling he thinks he owns the place and is untouchable after so many years on the show," the insider alleged.

The news follows Le Vell being arrested for a supposed assault last week. Police have since said they will be taking no further action regarding the incident.

Earlier this year, the actor - who plays Kevin Webster - had reportedly been declared bankrupt.

It comes as Corrie prepares for big changes off camera.

Current boss Kate Oates is leaving while current Emmerdale chief Iain Macleod will be taking over.

“Iain is known for not taking any s**t,” a 'soap expert' told THe Sun. "Kate, who also used to work on Emmerdale, tried to be mates with everyone.

“She’s even on holiday with some of the Emmerdale cast at the moment “But Iain is more divided, he keeps a line between him and the cast.

“Michael had better get his act together fast or he won’t last five minutes in the new regime.”
