Former Coronation Street actor Marc Anwar has spilled a host of behind the scenes scenes from the ITV soap.
Marc left the show in 2016 after three years playing Sharif Nazir.
Now he's given a tell all interview to The Sun on Sunday about his time on the series.
Marc suggested to the newspaper how his co-star Georgia May Foote was given the boot after refusing to let her character convert to Islam as part of a new storyline.
Explaining how Georgia's character Katy was written to fall in love with his character's grandson Zeedan, Marc claimed: “The storyline was that he would then ask her to become a Muslim.
“But when that was put to her she declined. I don’t know what her reasons were. But she was adamant she didn’t want to do that storyline. And so the response was, ‘OK, see you later.’"
However Georgia responded to the claims on Twitter: "Again. Fake s**t stories. As an actress i would have jumped at the chance to play such a diverse storyline. This was not the reason behind me leaving the show i loved and cherished for 5 years."
"There is no truth in this whatsoever," a rep or her added, "Georgia never refused to do any storyline during her time on the show."
Meanwhile, Marc also told the newspaper how he'd row with Shelley King, who played his onscreen wife Yasmeen.
"On set, she was always trying to direct me in scenes, and so one day I decided to confront her in the show’s green room," he alleged. "She just went off on one, effing and blinding at the top of her voice. I couldn’t believe it."
It wasn't just Shelley that Marc says he struggled to get along with, accusing some stars of being "untouchable.”
"Jimmi Harkishin [Dev Alahan] was very much part of the in-crowd and one of the favourites on the show, but I found him very shallow," he told the tabloid. “Another person I couldn’t stand was Antony Cotton [Sean Tully]. He didn’t say a single word to me in three years on the show."
However Marc praised the likes of Bill Roache [Ken Barlow], Barbara Knox [Rita Tanner] and Malcolm Hebden [Norris Cole].
