Marc Baylis to play Carla's long-lost brother in 'Coronation Street'!

Actor Marc Baylis is set to join the cast of ITV1 soap Coronation Street as Rob, the long-lost brother of factory owner Carla Connor (Alison King).  The actor will play the ex-convict who arrives in Weatherfield after a stint in prison.

As her brother settles in, Carla realises that he needs her help to settle down in Weatherfield. Meanwhile, the new character who is being billed a bad boy is tipped to set his sights on local girl Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).

Speaking about his new role to itv.com, Baylis quipped: ''I feel incredibly honoured to be joining the very talented cast of Coronation Street. Rob is an exciting character to play and I am hoping he is going to ruffle a few Weatherfield feathers."

Meanwhile, producer for the show Phil Collinson added: ''I feel incredibly honoured to be joining the very talented cast of Coronation Street. Rob is an exciting character to play and I am hoping he is going to ruffle a few Weatherfield feathers."
