An array of soapstars set to pair up for charity edition of ITV1 gameshow 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'

Coronation Street stars William Roache (Ken Barlow) and Michelle Collins (Stella Price) are set to join a number of other soap stars on a special soap edition of ITV1 Chris Tarrant fronted gameshow Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. The stars of the long running soap will join cast members from Emmerdale and Hollyoaks on two charity editions of the long-running gameshow on August 20th and 21st.

Taking part alongside Michelle and William will be their Corrie co-star Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) and her fianceé Jamie Lomas who stars on C4 soap Hollyoaks as bad boy Warren Fox. Real life and in-show best mates Mark Charnock and Dominic Brunt better known as Marlon Dingle and Paddy Kirk on Emmerdale will also be hoping to win money for their chosen charity on the quiz show.

Alongside Dominic and Mark are fellow Emmerdale stars Lucy Pargeter and Danny Miller who play mother and son Chastity 'Chas' Dingle and Aaron Livesy. Completing the line-up are on-screen sisters, Hollyoaks beauties Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna (Mercedes and Carmel Mc Queen).

Each duo will be raising money both for charity and for a viewer at home. Speaking about the special show, Danny Miller said: ''I've grown up watching Chris Tarrant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? so getting into the hotseat is going to be very daunting.'' Other soap duos are expected to take part and will be announced later in the month.

''It's such an iconic show and I've always wanted to do it, but I can imagine Dominic and I will be clinging to each other, panicking, going red and sweating,'' said Mark Charnock!
