S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt is set to return to the cast of EastEnders, it’s been revealed.
The former S Club 7 hitmaker has turned her talents to acting in recent years, appearing in ITV’s Primeval and BBC One’s Casualty.
Last year saw her join EastEnders for a short, two-episode stint.
Hannah played the role of Kandice Taylor, younger sister to single mum Karen Taylor (played by Lorraine Stanley) who had recently moved to Albert Square with her family.
Now The Sun reports that she’s set to reprise her role after impressing show bosses.
A source told the tabloid: “She went down well with fans and created a great buzz around the show. She has a positive, hard-working attitude, which was infectious.”
They added: “If she continues to prove popular, she could be a more permanent fixture. Plus her chemistry with the other actors works really well.”
Hannah said of her original role in 2017: “I’m over the moon. It’s such a huge part of British telly.
“It’s been really great to be involved in such an iconic show. I’m in for a short stint at the minute but, if it ended up being something bigger, that’s definitely something I’d be interested in.
“Kandice is such a fun character to play. She’s really outspoken and abrasive. She tells it like it is.”
EastEnders airs on BBC One.
