Erinsborough High is set to get a new student in the form of Noah Parkin. 18-year-old Odelphus Pledger (he sounds like a character in a Roald Dahl book) is set to play the newcomer on Australian soap Neighbours who arrives in Erinsborough all ready to be enrolled in the high school.
The actor has signed a guest contract as ''free-spirited'' Noah who bosses have promised will stir things up causing trouble for one Ramsay Street resident in the process. Pledger has already started filming for the role as he spent last week on set with Sophie Ramsay, played by Kaiya Jones with the official website for the soap opera which airs over here on C5 teasing that he will ''set hearts on fire'' as he makes his impression on Erinsborough.
Teasing the new character, executive producer for the show Susan Bower said: ''We are very excited about Noah, he is certainly different from our regular characters and Orpheus fits the role perfectly. I can promise viewers they are going to love this storyline.'' Orpheus who has been acting since primary school will debut on Australian screens in July and may become a regular character if he is well recieved by viewers.
Orpheus is the latest in a string of new signings after the announcement last week of Ben Barber's casting as a new medic as well as the recent announcement that Benjamin McNair is returning to his role as Malcolm Kennedy for a four month guest stint.
