Coronation Street's Carla Connor will have a meltdown after the death of her mother, a report has claimed. The Weatherfield businesswoman, played by Alison King is set to turn to the bottle and make a few surprising actions in an upcoming storyline after she struggles to cope with the grief of losing her mother.
The Sun reports that Carla makes a move on business partner and friend Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) in an upcoming storyline after she begins to turn to the bottle, which viewers saw her slowly overcome last year after the traumatic incident when ex-husband Tony Gordon kidnapped her and held her hostage.
Lat week, a report claimed that she would make the move on Frank despite him having been arrested for attempting to rape poor Maria Connor (Samia Smith) earlier in the year. However the report today has explained that the shock move comes after she turns to alcohol to nurse the grievance of her mother dying. Reportedly, Carla will begin to drink at her mother's funeral before heading to Frank's house for comfort.
However, despite his previous actions, Frank does the good thing and pushes her off and looks after her after she passes out. A source confirmed how Frank reacts to the drunken behaviour from his friend saying: ''Frank refuses to take advantage of Carla and leaves viewers confused as to his true motives.'' The scenes will air during summer.
