The latest episode of the ITV soap put in strong numbers on Wednesday night, averaging 6.7 million at 7:30PM.
Beforehand, Emmerdale had 5.9 million viewers while 3.3 million stuck with ITV after Corrie for Love Your Garden. 3.1 million watched Joanna Lumley's India.
Over on BBC One, It was the regional news that was the most watched show of the day with over 5 million viewers at 6:30PM.
Watchdog had 3.6 million viewers at 8PM with 2.4 million then watching a Death In Paradise repeat at 9PM.
On ITV2 at 9PM, the latest episode of Love Island dropped to 2 million viewers from Tuesday night's all time high of 2.2 million.
Still the series is on course for yet another rise in its average weekly audience, ahead of the final airing live Monday night at 9PM
On Channel 5, Big Brother had a smidgen over 900,000 viewers in a later 10:30PM slot, actually one of its highest ratings in recent weeks and up around 300,000 viewers on Sunday night.
The episode featured a surprise eviction with a further two housemates leaving in Friday night's live show at 10PM.
