BGT's separate results show saw 5.8 million viewers from 9:30PM, holding up slightly better when compared to Monday where 6.5 million tuned in.
Coronation Street aired between the two BGT instalments at 9PM, averaging 7.3 million viewers for the second episode of its dramatic week, matching Monday's number to be the most watched show of the day.
Earlier in the evening on ITV, Emmerdale had 5.5 million viewers - a drop of 200,000 on Monday - while over on BBC One, EastEnders had 4.8 million viewers as it went head to head with BGT, up 800,000 on Monday's showing.
Later on BBC, Holby City had 3.3 million viewers while new drama Broken started with 3 million in the 9PM hour.
Elsewhere Springwatch continued on BBC Two with 2.1 million viewers, its most watched show of the night, while First Dates topped Channel 4's numbers with a million viewers.
On Channel 5, royal documentary Diana: Seven Days That Shook the Windsors had 1.3 million viewers.
