I’m A Celebrity's Adam Thomas 'quits Emmerdale to host his own show'

I’m A Celebrity star Adam Thomas has reportedly quit Emmerdale, with plans to launch his own TV show.

The soap star, who made the final of I'm A Celebrity last year, has been on the Emmerdale cast for the past eight years

But the news today is that Adam - who also appeared on BBC's Waterloo road between 2006 and 2009 - is calling it quits.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Adam’s had a great time but he’s spent eight years in the Dales and thinks the time is right.

“It’s a headache for bosses as he’s a recognisable face, especially after I’m A Celebrity.”

The tabloid says that Adam's role as Adam Barton will be written out later this year.

And the newspaper claims that Adam is now hoping "to host his own show" following the exit from the ITV soap.

Adam's exit is the latest in a number of high profile departures for Emmerdale with Kelvin Fletcher, Gemma Atkinson and Bill Ward all also saying goodbye to the series.
