EastEnders was the most watched show on TV last night with 6 million viewers.
A shock car crash storyline saw the BBC soap top the night's viewing figures, beating ITV's Emmerdale into second place with its 5.6 million viewers.
Later on BBC One, Rio Ferdinand's touching documentary Being Mum and Dad won the 9PM slot with 5.2 million viewers.
On ITV, The Nightly Show dropped to just 900,000 viewers for its second instalment with the week as guest host Gordon Ramsay continued in the hot seat. The number is down 70,000 on last week's Tuesday show and lowest Tuesday episode of the series so far.
Earlier, Play To The Whistle continued with just 1.5 million viewers at 9PM, on a par with the end of Channel 4's Mutiny which concluded its fifth episode run.
However The Secret Life of the Zoo was Channel 4's most watched show of the night, posting a figure of just below 2 million viewers at 8PM.
Channel 5 had quite the good night with 1.5 million for Inside Kensington Palace and 1.3 million for Yorkshire: a Year in the Wild.
