Hello and welcome to another of TellyMix's Soap Round-Ups. Today, there have been stories galore in the world of soap from the upcoming departure of a principal in a BBC drama to a cheeky kiss between two characters in an Aussie soap. So, relax and read of all the dramatic twists and turns you can expect in the soaps in the next few months!
First off, we start in the BBC drama/soap Waterloo Road. The highly sucessful show which delights millions on Wednesday nights is returning for its sevent series in just a few weeks but fans will be dismayed to know that head teacher Karen Fisher (Amanda Burton) will be departing midway through the series. Amanda who first appeared as Karen at the start of Series 6 has already filmed her final scenes and viewers will see Karen waving goodbye after around 10 episodes of the 30-episode series.
A spokesperson confirmed the news, telling Digital Spy: ''Amanda has made an amazing contribution to Waterloo Road playing Karen Fisher. We hope viewers will enjoy seeing how her relationship with new site manager Rob Scotcher (Robson Green) plays out over the next 10 weeks.'' Whilst Amanda is set to depart so she can be closer to her family, it is understood that her children Harry and Jess will not depart the show.
Meanwhile down under, everyone's favourite troublemaker Jade Mitchell (Gemma Pranita) is going to be getting up to mischief on Ramsay Street yet again as she shares a cheeky kiss with Detective Mark Brennan (Scott Mc Gregor). The night of passion comes about after Brennan shares a night in Charlie's with Jade after a hard day at work following his decision to report one of his colleagues leading to the whole force turning against him.
Gemma, who plays Jade told TV Week: ''They're playing pool and getting on really well, when all of a sudden they find themselves kissing. Jade doesn't even consider Kate (Ashleigh Brewer) , in that moment, as she knows she's broken up with Brennan and doesn't appreciate that it's not cool to hook up with other people's exes. But I think Kate will be horrified, shocked and angry.''
Back on home turf, another Soap character who is set to get themselves into a whole heap of trouble is Becky Mc Donald (Katherine Kelly). We already know that she's leaving Coronation Street in Early 2012 and that her decision to buy her nephew max off half-sister Kylie Turner (Paula Lane) is going to come spilling out but new information has revealed that Becky will attempt to steal Max back after he is taken into care.
The Daily Star reports that Becky attempts to take him from the home of his foster parents leading to a dramatic showdown between Becky and the couple who threaten to call the police. However, luckily for Becky, husband Steve (Simon Gregson) arrives on the scene in time to take Becky home before she gets herself in even more trouble.
So that's a whole lot of exciting storylines to keep us entertained, all of the storylines, Karen's departure, Jade's steamy kiss and Becky's big mistake will play out in Summer so we can look forward to seeing how Miss Fisher makes her exit, how Kate reacts when she finds out about the naught liason between her friend and her ex and what happens when Becky tries to get Max back. Of course, there's plenty of drama currently so watch out this week for another murder in Hollyoaks, a kiss too many for Charlie in Home And Away and the departure of Ryan in Emmerdale!
