Week 2 of The Nightly Show launched to 2.4 million viewers in last night's ratings.
Viewing figures from Monday night show that an average of 2.36 million watched the first episode of ITV's new week night chat show yesterday, with John Bishop now as host.
The number is the second best rating of the series but down 600,000 on last weekend's first week opener with David Walliams in charge. The show continues at 10PM each night all this week up until Friday.
Earlier in the evening, episode two of Broadchurch continued with a strong 7.3 million to make it the most watched show of the night, down just 200,000 on last week's premiere.
Elsewhere last night, Coronation Street topped the soaps with 6.8 million viewers for its first of two episodes on the night; the second had 6.3 million. Emmerdale had 5.9 million viewers, matching EastEnders' figure over on BBC One.
In the battle of the game shows, The Chase had 3.5 million on ITV to Pointless' 3 million on BBC. Tipping Point had 2.4 million.
On BBC Two, 2.6 million watched University Challenge while 2.2 million tuned in for former Bake Off judge Mary Berry's new show Mary Berry Everyday, both down 400,000 on last Monday night.
Over on Channel 4, new series Mutiny launched to 1.3 million viewers.
