Coronation Street's Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is to be arrested for murder in a forthcoming storyline, it has been revealed. The Weatherfield lass will be arrested after she foolishly helps husband John (Graham Hawley) to hide the body of victim Colin Fishwick.
The confused man and his accomplice Charlotte previously hid the body of the man he stole the identity of last year after a heated confrontation lead to the death of the man however when Underworld, where the body is hidden has to be dug up for drainage work, John gets his wife to help dump the body in a canal.
Fiz thinks it's the body of her brother Chesney (Sam Aston) who unbeknown to her is being held captive in a cellar alongside Charlotte's parents. The murderer convinces her that Colin's death was an accident but admits his role in the death of Colin's mother Joy.
John then flees with his and Fiz's baby daughter Hope with his wife being knocked down whilst she's chasing him. After Fiz is hospitalised, the remorseful husband goes to visit her but as Fiz pushes the panic button, John climbs to the roof of the building.
However according to The Sunday Mirror, the man survives and instead goes on the run. A source said: ''We will see him boarding a ferry to Europe. The police will discover where he is and there will be a manhunt. The bosses love him. Being a fugitive is a great story.''
Sources revealed that Fiz will be arrested after revealing the location of Colin's body, distraught at the arrest, Fiz says: ''What's going to happen to me now? What's going to happen to my baby?''
