Matt Willis getting very close to role on ''Eastenders'', say sources

Matt Willis looks set to land a role on BBC soap Eastenders, it has been reported. The former member of Busted who won I'm A Celebrity... in 2006 and is married to TV Presenter Emma Willis may be signed up for the soap as a relative of Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), according to The Mirror.

Last month, we reported that 70's icon David Essex is to play Alfie's uncle Eddie and if Matt who has already had an audition for the role was to get the part, he would be playing the younger son of Eddie, brother to already established character Michael Moon.

A source close to Elstree told the tabloid: ''Eastenders has a few new faces coming to the show Walford over the next few months, which they are currently casting for. Matt's first screen test went really and he has been called back for a second. It would be great for him to land this gig - many of his fans would say ''it's what he went to school for'.''

A spokesman for Eastenders said: ''We are seeing a number of people, including Matt, about future roles, however no decisions have been made yet''. Would you like Matt to get the role? Should it go to someone else or do you think he would erm... bust it?
