Home And Away actress Cornelia Frances has finished filming her latest stint as barrister Morag Bellingham in the Australian soap opera. The TV personality best known for her role in the show which airs over here on Channel 5 had returned to filming late last year as Morag returned with the sad news that husband Ross Buckton had died.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Frances filmed her final scenes late last week, news that's sure to come as a blow to fans of the show as Morag's quick wit and intelligence were a hit with the viewers. Cornelia is known for speaking of her desire to get a regular role on the show however with the news that she's finished filming already, it looks like her wishes are yet to be fulfilled.
Newspapers down under have speculated that the departure came abruptly, but a spokesperson for the show has dismissed the claims as ''rediculous'' and explained that Frances has simply came to the end of her guest contract.
Speaking about the claims and the shock news, the spokesperson said: ''Cornelia has wrapped up her current guest stint. Morag is a much-loved Summer Bay character and we're sure we'll see her back in the bay. She was signed as a guest artist - her time in this current stint was determined before she started filming.''
Morag is expected to depart Australian screens during Summer with the delay between transmission meaning it's looking like a July/August exit on UK screens. Are you sad to see her go? Does she deserve a permanent role or do you like Morag's guest stints?
