Channel Four soap Hollyoaks are set to tie-in with gossip magazine Heat in a forthcoming episode set to air later this month which will see the villagers preparing for a visit from journalists for the magazine who want to feature one of the characters in their ''Torso Of The Week'' feature.
Footballer Riley Costello (Rob Norbury) will be the lucky lad much to the delight of his mother Heidi (Kim Tiddy) but the young sportsman will have other things that he finds more important prompting barman Darren Osbourne (Ashley Taylor-Dawson) to step in as a replacement model however bosses at the magazine will have their eyes on another resident who they see as fitting the magazine better.
Meanwhile, flamboyant nightclub owner Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh) jumps at the chance to have Chez Chez featured in the mag by offering it as the ideal location for the photoshoot prompting her bad boy brother Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan) to hatch a money-making scheme involving his client and fake girlfriend Mitzee Minniver (Rachel Shelton) but will the troublemaking minx agree to the plan?
And staff at the gossip publication are also set to feature in the episode as entertainment photographer Nicky Johnston and shopping editor Gilly Ferguson make appearances in the episode. And for those worried about approval, the episode was written by acting editor for the magazine Lucie Cave, deputy editor Jeremy Mark and writer for Hollyoaks Andy Rattenburg.
All those keen to see the one-off episode set to centre around Heat should tune in on Friday 18th March at 6:30pm when the much anticipated episode will air.
