X Factor 2012 hopeful Jaya has already toured with the show's judge Tulisa, it has been claimed today.
The 23-year-old singer will be amongst the hopefuls taking to the stage in this year's auditions, which start on Saturday night.
According to The Sun, Jaya classes N-Dubz as her "big fans" after touring together three years ago. She's also sung on the same bill as Tinie Tempah and Peter Andre.
This year has seen the rules on 'professional' acts relaxed, meaning contestants with such experience isn't surprising.
The 2012 series will be the first to allow acts with management deals and previous record contracts to apply, which has already seen some old stars try out.
Some of the wannabes have already had multiple Top 40 hits, while others have multiple albums to their name.
But despite all the touring, and even releasing a single, a source close to Jaya said she hoped the X Factor would help her break out.
However the source warned: "But viewers and other acts might not take too kindly knowing she has already toured with N-Dubz."
An X Factor source dismissed any claims of favourtism, revealing: "She has performed on the same bill as N-Dubz before but Tulisa doesn’t know her.”
