X Factor 2012: Nicole Scherzinger 'found auditions tough'

Nicole Scherzinger (X Factor 2012)

New X Factor 2012 judge Nicole Scherzinger reportedly found the audition stage of the show tough going.

Nicole only appeared at three of the audition locations this year, having been confirmed as a new panel member towards the end of the audition tour.

Former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue revealed this week that she had been asked to return, while guest judge Anastacia has also said she was offered the opportunity to join the show.

But with both declining it was Nicole who became in the new judge this year, replacing Kelly Rowland.

Perhaps under pressure after being axed from the US show last year, Nicole has reportedly been finding filming hard going so far.

"Nicole's been finding it hard and it's not surprising. The other three judges have already worked together for a year and have done the auditions together," a source claimed.

They tell Star magazine: "They know the acts and how to bounce of one another.

"Nicole is finding it harder to make her mark and could have really used a shoulder to cry on."

Nicole will appear at the pre-recorded auditions in London, Cardiff and Newcastle when the series begins soon.

A range of guest judges took the fourth spot on the panel at the other locations, including former winner Leona Lewis, newbie chart topper Rita Ora and former Spice Girls Mel B and Geri Halliwell.
