X Factor judge Tulisa has reportedly been told to 'tone down' her urban side for the show.
The N-Dubz star hit headlines this week after making a supposed London gang sign during filming for her latest video.
And sources claim that Tulisa wants her producer pal and rumored boyfriend 'The Dream' to join her for judges' houses this year.
But X Factor boss Simon Cowell is claimed to have vetoed the idea.
"Simon isn't sure that's the direction he wants to move in with the show," a source told Reveal magazine this week. "The Dream may not be well enough known with teenagers and might be too urban for the show."
Tulisa has also apparently been urged to 'tone down' her street side for the new series of the show, which is expected to start on ITV1 next month.
"Tulisa's street image has always been part of her appeal but it's just a bit inappropriate for The X Factor," a source explained.
They went on: "She was advised to tone things down but she didn't take it well. Tulisa insisted that this is who she is - she's not a faker and she never will be.
"She's a girl in her early twenties and she wants to make the most of it."
And make the most of it is just what Tulia's been doing recently, splashing a whopping £19,000 on her 24th Birthday party.
