Auditions for The X Factor 2012 had been postponed, after delays in signing up judges for the new series.
Filming was originally set to start in Cardiff on May 15, but auditions in Wales will now take places on June 25.
Now the first auditions are set to be the 23 of May in Liverpool.
It follows reports that bosses have yet to sign a fourth judge this year, after Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh all revealed they would be back.
It's understood that talks with Kelly Rowland, who was apparently holding out for £1.5 million, have stalled.
The Daily Mirror reported yesterday that Dannii Minogue, who quit last year, could be back, while Louis Walsh claimed that bosses were talks with Katy Perry and Mel B.
The X Factor has so far officially only confirmed Gary Barlow's return to the show.
He said last week: "I'm thrilled to be back and really looking forward to working with The X Factor team again.
"The fact that a superstar could just walk out on that stage is very exciting."
It's expected that further news about the show will be released later this week.
