Axed Voice UK contestant Sam Buttery has said he feels more positive than if he had been kicked off of The X Factor.
The 20-year-old singer was given the boot last night after he and Matt & Sueleen fell into the bottom two of Team Tom.
But confident Sam hasn't got too down.
He insisted: “I wouldn’t be feeling this positive if I’d just been kicked off The X Factor. I think I’ve been treated really well.
“I haven’t tried out for The X Factor but I know people who have and they didn’t enjoy it as much."
Revealing the differences between the two shows, Sam explained: “On The Voice you are called every day and asked how you’re feeling and you are paid the money to do what you do.
“They give you expenses money, money for food and a fee for performing and it’s in the interests of fairness. There is a professionalism to the show.
“We don’t get paid a lot but it’s a gesture. It makes you feel valued. I haven’t been left feeling exploited or anything.”
Speaking to The Sun, Sam also told how he had a heart to heart with Sir Tom after last night's axe.
He said: “I went in and [Sir Tom] looked really upset and he said he didn’t want anyone to go that it wasn’t an easy decision but it was the right one.
“I said to him that I’d had so much time with him and I said, ‘Even if I’d had one half-hour session with you, I would be happy’. I’m gutted to be out, but it’s not the end of me.”
