X Factor bosses are hoping to discover 'local talent' with their mobile auditions, which start today in Plymouth.
The X Factor mobile auditions will tour the UK over the next month, in a bid to make this year's show the best yet.
"We have had a really good turnout for the auditions we hold in the big cities each year. So this year we wanted to try and reach some coastal areas and smaller cities," X Factor boss Claudia Cunnell says. "We came up with the idea for the mobile audition van."
The open auditions, which finished earlier this year, only visited Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester.
The van will spend a day at 19 locations across the country, where budding performers can sing in front of a researcher and cameraman.
"It will park up and there will be a gazebo," explains Claudia, "There will be a cameraman and a producer and people will take turns auditioning on film.
"Those films will then go off and some people might be lucky enough to get called back to further auditions."
