X Factor's Cher Lloyd is teaming up with US star Snoop Dogg in an attempt to break the US market.

The teenager, who finished fourth on the show in 2010, will be releasing a new version of track Want U Back featuring the rapper.

The single was released here last year, and featured lyrics from X Factor USA finalist Astro.

Now her team are gearing up to take on the US charts, following the success of One Direction there.

“America is a priority for me and it feels like it’s a fresh start. I’m taking it seriously. I’ll be out there for three weeks in May to get the ball rolling," Cher revealed.

The singer started gigging in America last month, but had to return to the UK for her first ever tour.

Despite not being in the country, Cher is already receiving acclaim from the States.

“It’s an amazing initial reaction to Cher. She’s overwhelmed," a source told the Sunday Mirror today. “The plan is to go out there for three or so weeks and introduce herself to America.
