Simon Cowell really doesn't like Gary Barlow on The X Factor, at least if the tabloids are to be believed today.
After wanting to sack the Take That star last year, branding him "stiff" and "scripted", Simon apparently feels "let down" after ITV overruled him and signed Gary up for another series.
"Simon was never Gary’s biggest fan and really wanted to boot him out and get someone else in," a supposed source told the Daily Star today.
They added: "He thought he was a bit dull.
“This led to a huge rift between him and ITV.”
Simon is also said to be annoyed at the channel for its scheduling for [cat]Britain's Got Talent[/cat] against [cat]The Voice UK[/cat], which has seen the new BBC One series come out on top in the ratings for the past month.
"Simon has been quietly fuming for weeks and now we have reached tipping point," the source revealed. “A confrontation looks imminent.
“He is absolutely obsessed with his TV shows and it means everything to him that they do well."
