X Factor star Olly Murs announces 2012 arena tour!
Simon Cowell reportedly branded the X Factor 2011 finalists the worst ever, even clashing with eventual winners Little Mix.
According to new book, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell, the X Factor boss hit out at last year's acts in a video conference call.
While some details of the chat had emerged last year, only now have the less press friendly claims appeared.
In the supposedly unauthorised biography, it's claimed that Simon moaned about how last year's X Factor was dull, and the contestants "untalented and unwatchable".
He told the group: "We're not going to bury the show. I'm going to do something to get it back on the road. We fight it to the end."
But Simon apparently got angry with some of the hopefuls, even losing his temper with Little Mix.
When the group asked how to improve, Simon hit back: "The Spice Girls never asked, 'What should we do?' They said what they were going to do. If you don't know, you're lost."
He allegedly added: "This is the worst group of contestants there's ever been. We need a complete change."
Meanwhile it was revealed this morning that Simon also had doubts over Gary Barlow, branding the Take That star "stiff" on the show.
But despite the fears, all of the X Factor 2012 judges will remain the same as last year.
