The girls - Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie - became the first group ever to win the show last December, and shot straight to number one with their debut single Cannonball.
In between tour dates, the group have been hard at work recording songs for their first record, with boss Simon Cowell getting the first listen to what they've been up to recently.
"We had a meeting with Simon three weeks ago so he could listen to the track, and it was like sitting in the headmaster’s office," Jesy revealed.
She added: “We were so nervous before going in, it was surreal.”
Fortunately for the girls, it was a thumbs up from the music mogul.
“He really liked it. He’s happy with the progress we’ve made in such a short time and just wants us to be as successful as One Direction," Jade said.
And she teased: “The album’s going to be so different. No-one’s expecting what it sounds like.”
Little Mix's next single is due for release this summer, with the album following shortly after.
