A Rod Stewart lookalike was one of the thousands of acts who tried out for The X Factor 2012 yesterday as auditions hit Scotland.
The Daily Record reports that some budding performers had been queuing since 2am in order to be the first in line for when doors opened at midday.
One wannabe told the newspaper: "“I got here about 2am and it means I am the first to audition. I’ll choose from three songs and hopefully it will be good enough. The banter in the queue has been great.”
Amongst the other hopefuls was 55-year-old Alex McLeish, who impressed X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary with his striking similarity to rocker Rod Stewart.
And just like auditions last month, singers had flown from all over the world to try out for the show's team ahead of auditions in front of the judges in the summer.
Those who impressed yesterday won themselves a golden ticket to return to this morning's call-backs.
