Louis Walsh has confirmed he’ll l be back as a judge on The X Factor 2012 this summer, saying that he's "so happy" to be returning to the show.
“I am so happy to have signed up for another year. It’s my ninth year, I’m the only person to be in it for nine years," Louis said today.
“I’m busy now from here until Christmas," he went on. "I signed the deal yesterday – making it my ninth year on the show.
"I never wanted to be on TV, it was never in my plan. But now I’m on it, I love the show.”
The Irish music mogul also seemingly confirmed that both Gary Barlow and Tulisa would be back, although he was unsure of whether or not Kelly Rowland would reprise her role on the panel.
He told the Daily Mirror: “I know two of the judges who are going to be beside me, but I still don’t know who the fourth is going to be just yet.
"I know for definite that Tulisa is back, and Gary is back. I’m not sure if Kelly is back, but I hope she is, because she worked really hard last year.”
It was also confirmed this week that Caroline Flack will be back on the Xtra Factor, while Olly Murs will be hosting the Xtra Factor only for the live shows, having agreed to join One Direction for a US tour this summer.
Dermot O'Leary is also back as the reality show's front man, already busy filming at open auditions which continue in Glasgow tomorrow.
The show’s judges will start work in the early summer, with auditions set to kick off in May.
Despite all the comments from Louis however, ITV nor The X Factor have yet to make any official comment on this year's judging line up.
