80s singer Boy George has said that he would make a great new X Factor judge, but only if he was able to get the sort of clothing budget Cheryl used to!
The former Culture Club front man added however that he wasn't sure if the other panellists would be able to handle him on the programme!
The Sun quotes Boy George as saying: "There was a rumour last year about me doing X Factor but I don't know if they would want me.
"I would be great, but I'm not sure if they could handle me."
He added: "I'd do it, but it depends how much they would pay me and if I could have Cheryl [Cole's] wardrobe budget."
The Karma Chameleon singer certainly seems to think he has new ideas to bring to the table, saying: "The problem with The X Factor is that you have great people on there, but they are sometimes given the wrong songs.
"Sometimes it can be quite cruel but you have to remember, it's a game show."
X Factor boss Simon Cowell however previously suggested that this year's panel would remain unchanged, saying his "gut feeling" was to keep Tulisa, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland on the show.
It was reported earlier this month that Gary Barlow had already agreed to an X Factor return, while both Louis and Tulisa were in talks.
ITV or The X Factor have to make any official confirmation on this year's judging line up.
Open auditions for The X Factor 2012 continue this weekend in Glasgow.
