Olly Murs has confirmed he will be back hosting the Xtra Factor this year, following much speculation in the press over the past month.
After being signed to host the show just days before auditions started last year, it seems like this summer things are being planned a lot more in advance for Olly.
The singer told his Twitter followers this evening: "So just to clear up.. DEFINITELY doing Xtra Factor again this year, just need to sign on the dotted line and just work out my dates!"
It was speculated this morning that Olly would only be fronting the show for the live shows, having agreed to join fellow X Factor stars One Direction on a US tour in the summer.
"X Factor bosses loved Olly on last year's show and really wanted him to do it," a source told The Sun this morning. "Once the One Direction tour was confirmed we decided to offer him just the live shows instead."
It's expected that Olly's co-host Caroline Flack will also be back, and will front the audition stage of the competition alone until Olly's return.
ITV however have yet to confirm either of the pair's signing to the new series.
So far only Dermot O'Leary is definitely back, having already kicked off filming at the show's open auditions last month.
