X Factor 2012 auditions see 'Twinsome' duo hoping to impress the judges

X Factor 2012 auditions wales 5

A set of twins are hoping to become the female version of Jedward on The X Factor 2012.

Mary and Rebecca, both 18 from Wales, performed for producers when auditions visited Cardiff earlier this week.

The pair - who are calling themselves Twinsome (see what they did there?) - admitted however they were relying on their looks and personalities more than their voice.

"We know we're not the best singers but we've got star quality," Mary told us, in a Louis Walsh-esque cliché.

What could The Voice's Reggie Yates say?

Another colourful Cardiff character amongst the thousands who tried out on Monday was Reggae Mike, who had painted himself in red, yellow and green for his audition.

Mike, real name Michael Price, had even brought his brightly coloured van in a bid to impress producers.

The 58-year-old revealed how he had been rejected from Britain's Got Talent last year, and hoped he’d have better luck on The X Factor.

We'll have to wait until the show returns in the summer to see if any of them have made it any further!
