Singing Irish beauty Melanie McCabe is set to audition for The X Factor again this year, hoping that it'll be third time lucky for her and she'll finally make it through the live shows.
Melanie had originally auditioned for the show in 2008, but aged just 14, was sent home at bootcamp over fears from Cheryl Cole she was too young.
Last year Melanie made it through to the judges' houses stage of the competition, but it was another disappointing rejection as Kelly Rowland instead took Amelia Lily, Janet Devlin, Misha B and Sophie Habibis through to the live shows.
Speaking to the Irish Herald, the 18-year-old revealed how she had been inspired by Misha after meeting up with her when the X Factor live tour visited the country last week.
Melanie explained: "She told me to just be myself and not to be overconfident on camera. She also said I have to be really thick skinned to make it all the way.
"But I've been there twice now, so at this stage I really think I can handle it. This time round, I better make it to the live shows, though."
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has always been a big supporter of Melanie (for perhaps obvious reasons), and added to the newspaper: "I think she should definitely go for it again."
Let's hope for Melanie's sake it'll be Louis mentoring the girls this year!
