One Direction fans have been left annoyed after the X Factor group signed a deal with US TV company Nickelodeon.
We reported earlier this week how One Direction were in talks for their own US TV series, and today it's been claimed a deal has been done.
According to US press, the group are set to announce at this week's Nickelodeon up fronts in New York that they have signed a deal to have their own live actions series for the channel.
But despite the news, many fans of the boys have been left annoyed.
The term "#1DPleaseDontGoToNick" began to trend worldwide after reports started to emerge, and many called on Simon Cowell to veto the deal.
One fan of the group wrote on Twitter: "I think Simon needs to get on this case, he signed the boys to become famous singers, not actors?"
However the boys managed to calm the speculation and teenage outrage after insisting that the reports were only rumours.
Liam Payne said: "A show on Nick would be a lot of fun, but I think for now we want to focus on music."
But, in one last twist this morning, Nickelodeon took to their Twitter to confirm the rumours.
They wrote: "The rumors are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!"
No further details about the plans have yet been released.
