X Factor star Louis Walsh has revealed he wants to stay on the show for another two years, making his time as a judge a total of 10 series.
Louis is the only remaining original member of the show's judging panel, and the only judge to have appeared in every series so far.
Speaking surrounding rumours of whether or not he'll be back in the summer, Louis said at the weekend: "I would like to do two more series, which would make 10 in total."
But despite Simon Cowell saying yesterday he didn't want to make changes to this year's judging panel, Louis revealed he had yet to learn of his fate.
He added: "I can't officially confirm yet whether I will be in it."
As it stands only X Factor host Dermot O'Leary is confirmed back, having already started filming for the ninth series in Liverpool at the weekend.
Thousands turned up to the city's ECHO arena on Saturday and Sunday, as open try outs kicked off. They will continue across the UK for the next two months, before auditions in front of judges taken place in May.
