Dermot O'Leary is back hosting The X Factor, it's been confirmed today, as the hunky presenter was spotted filming for the show in Liverpool.
Dermot, who has hosted the show for the past five years, previously said he was "unsure" whether he'd be back.
But our X Factor spies report that the former Big Brother's Little Brother host has already started on the ninth series of The X Factor, as auditions kicked off today in Liverpool.
Dermot, along with the show's warm up star Ian Royce, started work on the latest series earlier this morning, filming the iconic huge crowd shots for the opening titles.
Open try outs began at the city's Echo Arena, where 2011 finalists Amelia Lily, Craig Colton and Marcus Collins all started their journey last year.
Auditions will continue for the next month, moving to Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and London.
The panel for the new series has yet to be confirmed however, with the latest rumoours today suggesting that Kelly Rowland could be back on The X Factor. Other names linked to the new series include Estelle and even Adele!
A spokesperson for the show made it clear this morning: "No decisions have been made on this year’s judging panel.”
The X Factor 2012 will return to screens on ITV1 in the summer.
