Dannii Minogue has been "categorically" ruled out as a judge on this year's X Factor UK.
The Aussie singer, who left the series in 2011 along with Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell, will not be returning to the show.
The star, who became the panel’s fourth judge in 2007, was one of many names linked to this year's series after it was revealed Kelly Rowland was unlikely to be back.
But despite Danni's exit from the show last year being more to do with clashing schedules rather than a want to leave, bosses have ruled her out of a comeback.
Dannii had claimed she had been ‘forced out’ of the show after auditions were moved to suit new judge Gary Barlow, who was on tour with Take That at the time.
"Dannii isn’t going to return this year," a source told the Daily Mail today. "She was a big part of X Factor history, but we need to move the show on.
"Simon’s determined to create another star like Tulisa, who he thought completely stole the show last year."
Auditions for the new series start tomorrow in Liverpool.
