Oasis star Noel Gallagher has joking declared he'd become a judge on The X Factor this year, for a £1 million pay cheque from boss Simon Cowell.
The 44-year-old singer told the Radio Times this week: "It's about six months' work, innit? I reckon it would have to be a million pounds after tax."
But Noel, who was reportedly approached by ITV to take part in the series last year, insisted he was only joking.
"I say that tongue-in-cheek," he explained to the magazine.
He added: "I don't really want to do it. But a million pounds for six months' work? That's good money if you can get it.
"Even I don't earn that much."
Auditions for the new series of The X Factor kick off in Liverpool at the weekend.
