X Factor boss Simon Cowell has apparently waded into Cheryl Cole and Cher Lloyd's war, reportedly branding the teenager a "silly naive girl" in a text to Cheryl!
According to Closer magazine, Cheryl is still angry after Cher hit out at her singing ability and use of Auto-Tune.
"Cheryl is absolutely livid that Cher would slate her in public," a pal of the Girls Aloud star explains.
They revealed: "Even Simon Cowell sent a Cheryl a message when he heard about the incident, saying: 'She'll regret missing with you. What a silly naive girl'."
Cher quickly went on the defensive after her comments last week, appearing on both Daybreak and This Morning to backtrack over her original remarks.
The 18-year-old, who finished fourth in The X Factor in 2010, said: "I just want to say sorry to [Cheryl] if she found that offensive. But, at the end of the day, she is the person who got me to where I am today."
But despite the apologies, Cheryl is still annoyed by the comments, insiders claim.
One said: "Cheryl has said Cher has been a fool to cross her."
Cher best watch out!
