Rival reality telly hosts Dermot O'Leary and Holly Willoughby have been the named the UK's top TV Valentines.

X Factor host Dermot and The Voice UK presenter Holly topped a poll to find the small screen's most fanciable man and woman.

Dermot received 14 per cent of the vote for the guys, more than twice that of second place Benedict Cumberbatch, star of BBC One show Sherlock. Meanwhile Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd finished in third place with just over 5%.

Holly Willoughby was also a clear winner, achieving 16% of the female vote, ahead of Doctor Who star Karen Gillan (10pc).

A spokesperson for Freeview, who conducted the survey, said: "It's clear TV presenters provide an extra reason to tune in and watch TV and a candlelit dinner at home and watching a romantic film is the perfect Valentine's Day date -- it's easier on the pocket than a trip out to the cinema or to a restaurant."
