X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has admitted he still gets star struck, despite presenting the UK's biggest TV shows and chatting to global chart topping stars every weekend.
The hunky TV personality told PA that he was left speechless after meeting the cast of ITV1 drama Downton Abbey at the National Television Awards last month, where The X Factor picked up the award for Best Talent show.
He explained: "Loads of them recognised me, which really freaked me out because Downton Abbey is a huge deal. They were like, 'Yeah, we really like The X Factor' and I'm like, 'Really? You're in Downton Abbey!'."
Last night Dermot hosted coverage of the 2012 BAFTAs red carpet, which he confessed was a "challenging" task, even with his years of experience on The X Factor.
The former Big Brother's Little Brother presenter revealed: "I've always been a massive film fan, so it's funny I've never done anything professionally with it before.
"And I've always really enjoyed interviewing actors, although it can be challenging sometimes, especially when you've only got 60 seconds with someone."
