X Factor star Craig Colton has revealed he’s' been working with Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow on his debut album.
Liverpool singer Craig, who finished fifth on last year's show, has explained how he's been staying in touch with Robbie since they met at judges' houses last summer.
The chart topping singer joined former Take That band mate Gary Barlow to help him decide the final three boys in his category
“I’m hoping to go to LA in the summer to record. And when I’m out there I’ll get to see Robbie," Craig told local newspaper the Liverpool Echo this week. “I’ve been sending him everything I’ve been doing.
“I’ve been speaking to Gary too, he’s been supporting me. But it’s so nice Robbie has kept in touch and made sure he’s involved.
“I’ve been emailing him some lyrics and he’s been helping me. If something needs to be changed he’ll send it back to me with ideas of how I could rewrite it to sound better."
Craig added: “He’s a genius. One of my songs is called Beautiful Surprise and I would love it to be my first single. And Robbie said it was a lyrically genius song.
“I want to show I’m not just a boy who went on a TV show and that I can write songs.”
Craig will one of nine X Factor stars taking part in this year's live tour, which kicks off in Manchester on February 25.
