Will.i.am has said he wants to see Cheryl Cole performing on The Voice UK this year to "p*** off" Simon Cowell.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, the Black Eyed Peas star - who is one of four coaches on the new BBC One talent show - said: "I want her on the Voice.
"I mean why not? That would really p*** the big man off wouldn’t it."
He added: “This is her year by the way - Cheryl is back! You all gonna love her new music - it’s on it, on the money.”
A "TV source" added to the tabloid: “Cheryl has been working on new material for months. She is determined to relaunch herself as a credible artist and The Voice will be the perfect platform to showcase her latest tracks.
“The fact her manager is on the judging panel means it’s an absolute no-brainer for her.”
The Voice UK will kick off on BBC One from March on Saturday nights, going head to head with Simon’s Britain's Got Talent.
Will.i.am is joined on the panel by British hip hop star Jessie J, Welsh singer Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.
