Bookies are taking bets on the likes of Dean 'Midas' Maynard and Noel Gallagher to join The X Factor this year, after Simon Cowell admitted a big shake up was needed. Other candidates who have been mentioned by bookies include Kylie Minogue, Adele and even Kylie's sister, Dannii who is looking like a contender to make a sensational return to the show after having to quit last year's show due to scheduling clashes with Australia's Got Talent.
The X Factor boss blasted last year's show, the judges and the acts, branding the series "sub-standard". Simon has insisted that no decision has been made yet, but the bookies and punters have been predicting what the music mogul will come up with. Louis Walsh is the sure fire favourite to return, with even Simon admitting recently that the show wouldn't be the same without him. Both Tulisa and Gary are also odds on to be back behind the judges' desk, after the pair both said they'd love return if Simon offered.
The situation looks less clear for Kelly however, who's at odds of 3/1 to come back. Bookies reckon that it's possible there could be a switch over, with Nicole Scherzinger ay odds of 7/1 to join ou series. Katy Perry is at 8/1, while Dannii Minogue can be backed at 20/1 to make a comeback. Rocker Noel Gallagher is an unlikely bet at 20/1, whilst our own contributor and TV pundit Dean 'Midas' Maynard is at 66/1.
Dean has made a name for himself in tipping reality television stars for the top. Having predicted who will be successful for 34 shows, Dean has a great track record with 30 of them finishing in the Top 4 or higher and nearly all of them having gone on to have successful careers. Speaking of his odds, Dean said: ''I know 66/1 is a long shot but it is still a huge honour to be even considered by the bookies, they must think I am doing something right"
"If by some miracle I was given a chance by Mr Cowell, then he could certainly trust me to find the next big act, I also want to thank everyone at TellyMix for their support"
